Kicking off summer vacation with dancing and lots of wonderful moments

On the second-to-last day of school before summer break, the entire school community gathered to say goodbye to each other as they headed into summer break. Because of the rain, the celebration took place in the gym—but that didn’t dampen the good spirits.

A special highlight was the dances performed by all grade levels. Together with Gika, the students had practiced their choreography for many weeks. One after another, the classes presented their dances with great enthusiasm, fantastic moves, and cool accessories. The audience clapped along enthusiastically and rewarded each performance with loud applause. A heartfelt thank you goes to Gika, who took the time every week to practice with the children. The fantastic result was truly impressive!

For most students, summer vacation began on Friday at 11 a.m. The fourth-graders stayed a little longer, as they had a very special farewell ahead of them.

Under bright sunshine, the fourth graders gathered in the schoolyard with their parents and teachers. The GTG bid the children farewell with a little surprise. Afterward, Ms. Wullkotte and Mr. Brechler addressed their classes with personal remarks. As a memento of their elementary school years, all the children received a lovingly handmade bag as well as other keepsakes to take with them on their future journey.

To wrap things up, everyone danced together one last time and then sang together—an emotional and joyful conclusion to their elementary school years.

We sincerely wish all fourth-graders all the best, much success, and a great start at their middle schools.

We wish all students and their families a relaxing, sunny, and wonderful summer break!
