Reading Day

The nationwide Read Aloud Day took place on 15.11.2024.

Reading aloud is a true superpower and forms the basis for many skills that children and adults need in life.

Read aloud

  • creates proximity and exchange
  • increases vocabulary
  • Promotes fantasy and imagination
  • makes empathic
  • makes you self-confident
  • unlocks knowledge
  • Promotes concentration
  • creates awareness of the spoken and written word
  • makes you want to learn to read
  • makes you fit for school

The pupils of the Martin Luther School were able to choose a book from a selection of different books and listen to the reader in a relaxed atmosphere with an admission ticket in the 3rd and 4th periods. We were very lucky and were able to mobilize a total of 27 school staff and make ourselves comfortable in small groups. Many exciting adventures and funny stories were read. All in all, it was a successful reading day that everyone involved enjoyed.
