On Monday morning, the third classes took the bus to Bad Bentheim. We arrived at the youth hostel around midday. Before we went to lunch, we got into our beds and made our rooms comfortable. Our program "A journey into the Middle Ages" started in the afternoon. The program consisted of the following three points:
- The jousting games
- Clothing in the Middle Ages
- Bad Bentheim Castle
We learned a lot about knights and life in the Middle Ages during all the activities. The supervisors took a lot of time to answer our questions. There was a lot to discover at the knight's castle in particular. We took a look at the castle wall and the keep. We also went to the castle museum. There you could see how people lived back then. There was also a real knight's armor. At the end, the castle guide told us a story about the white lady. That was scary.
We spent the evenings on a night walk and at a disco. There was also plenty of time to play games together and read a story. At the end of the day, we always fell into bed tired.
