On 18.06.2025, the traditional Stadtwerke Grundschulcup of the Gronau elementary school took place in perfect weather. The tournament got off to a motivated start at 10 a.m. with 10 pupils from years 1 to 4. Small (grades 1 and 2) and large goals (grades 3 and 4) were played on a total of 8 pitches. All pupils showed their best skills on the pitch. Many goals were scored, balls were defended, dribbled across the field and cheered on euphorically. The children took a break or two at the kiosk.
Particularly noteworthy were the performances of the boys from Year 2, who achieved 3rd place. The boys from Year 3 also achieved first place, making them the tournament winners in their age group. Wow, that really is an outstanding achievement.
Regardless of the final ranking, we think all the children gave their all and played as a team with joy, passion and fun. We are proud of our teams and look forward to next year.
