An exciting and emotional last day of school before the summer vacation took place at Martin Luther School. Not only the joy of the upcoming vacation time was celebrated, but also the farewell of the fourth graders and the beginning of Mrs. Grabe's well-deserved retirement.
On Friday morning, all the pupils and staff at Martin Luther School gathered in the school playground to form a line. Mrs. Grabe was picked up from home that morning on a bicycle and was greeted by everyone in the schoolyard for her last day at school. It was a wonderful atmosphere full of smiling faces and the odd tear was shed early in the morning. Ms. Grabe then had time to say goodbye to the pupils and treated everyone to a delicious ice cream. We would like to take this opportunity to wish Ms. Grabe all the best for the future.
The beautifully designed farewell service for the fourth graders took place on Wednesday, July 3, 2024. But on the last day of school, the Year 4 pupils were also able to say goodbye to all the children, colleagues and parents. In addition to a small farewell ceremony in the school playground. The school representatives found really great words. The classes performed two dances and sang a song together. Ms. Grabe and Ms. Betzer also thanked the parents once again for their great support over the school years. As a farewell, balloons with wishes were released.
We wish all fourth graders a good start at their new school, great friends at their side and always the courage to go their own way.
